WW2 American Airborne Garrison cap badge.

This is the cap badge worn on the side of the Enlisted mans Infantry Garrison cap by members of the paratroopers like the 82nd Airborne and 101st Airborne Divisions.

This is the late war version and was worn by all Airborne Enlisted men towards the end of the WW2 and continued to be worn during the Vietnam war.

The Airborne cap badge has a combined glider and parachute with a red edging and is worn with the glider facing forward.
