WC-21 Truck, 1/2 ton, 4x4 Dodge WC Open Cab Pickup w/o Winch (G505)

The Dodge WC-3 and the very similar WC-13 and WC-21, are 1/2 ton pickup trucks with slightly different engines and other small differences. All have an open cab, flat face cowl with express body and transverse seats but no winch. They are closely related to the WC-4 and WC-22 which differ by having a winch and a longer frame to accomodate it. All are part of the WC model series G-505, built by Dodge during 1941 or early 1942.

The many Dodge 1/2 ton 4x4 WC-series trucks were grouped under engineering codes such as T-207 or T-215. The codes identified the engine used and other small production details. The Dodge WC21 has a Engineering Code T-215

Hood Number Range of the WC21 is W234379-W238778 or W240179-W242178 depends on serial number range.

Dodge WC21 used for;
Weapon carriers, two seater pickups with open cab. The open cab pickups could be fitted with an optional M24 machine gun mount,which bolted across the front of the bed. The mount could carry the M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle, as well as the M1919 Browning machine gun, and the M2 Browning machine gun.
