The Heinkel He 219, one of the most effective fighter planes of the Luftwaffe, was specially used for night hunting and was the first aircraft that had standard ejector seats. Their suitability test was carried out at the NJG 1 in Venlo the Netherlands on the night of 11 to 12 June 1943 by Major Streib, who was able to take down five enemy bombers during this operation. The He 219 achieved considerable success in the fight against Allied bombers by integrating new weapon technology such as the MK 108 guns in the rear hull. The A-7 version had the most extensive changes and was used at the end of the Second World War.
