During the war, Belgians also joined British special forces units. They formed a troop called No.10 (Inter-Allied) Commando, which played a role in the Italian Campaign and the Landings on Walcheren. Additionally, there was a special air service called the 5th Special Air Service, which consisted entirely of Belgians. This unit, part of the elite SAS, was the first Allied unit to enter Belgium in September 1944.

The Royal Air Force had the service of 400 Belgian pilots. Among them were two all-Belgian fighter units, known as Nos. 349 and 350 Squadrons, which served in the European theatre. No. 350 Squadron, on its own, claimed 51 "kills" from November 1941 until the end of the war. Overall, approximately 1,200 Belgians served in the RAF, mostly in British or Free Dutch squadrons.
