These British 1943 Jungle Green BD Trousers by Kay Canvas are a reproduction of the Jungle Green Battledress trousers worn by British and Commonwealth troops in tropical theatres during WWII. The trousers are made in Jungle Green and follow the practical cut of the 1943 Pattern Battledress, adapted for warm and humid conditions.

Historical Context 
Jungle Green Battledress was introduced as traditional khaki drill uniforms proved less effective in dense jungle environments. During the campaigns in Malaya, India and Burma, British and Commonwealth troops required clothing that was better suited to tropical terrain and humid field conditions.

From 1943 onward, Jungle Green Battledress became a recognisable step toward more practical jungle clothing.
