During the Second World War there were several groups in which the Red Cross were involved.
Think of: administration, canteen work, transport, clothing seamstresses, blood donation and so on.
By September of 1945, the results of the red cross paid off with 16 million dollars put into blood donation and 13. 4 million pints of plasma donated from 6.6 million donors. Indeed, the lives of thousands of wounded soldiers and civilians were saved and supported by the efforts of American Red Cross Women.
