The type b-3 life-preserver was standardised in january 1936. it two comprises of two rubber bladders that are placed inside a yellow cotton canvas envelope, glued together at the collar and along their symmetrical axis.
two co2 cartridges and two mouth nozzles allow the envelopes to be inflated. in order to protect the life-preserver from rubbing against the parachute harness, the front is covered with a leather patch. The life-preserver originally had a waist strap and another between the legs. The last manufacture contracts are dated june 1942
