Generals Bullion cap badge

This cap badge was sewn onto the SD peak cap by British Army Generals during WW1 and WW2

It was also seen worn my General Montgomery during the North Africa campaign 1942/43 and on D Day,  Normandy 1944  on his Famous black beret  with a Royal Tank regiment cap badge.

Could also be sewn onto a beret like on Genearl Urquhart  Airborne beret in operation Market garden standing outside the Hartenstein hotel in Oosterbeek
