American US Army M1936 Suspenders where the standard combat suspenders used in the world war two.
The M36 suspenders where officially called "Suspenders, Belt, M-1936" and where clipped onto the M36 Pistol belts, BAR belts and the Garand belts to help support them when fully loaded with kit and ammunition.
The Model 1936 suspenders have the metal D rings on the front of the shoulders to clip the musette bag on, so the bag can be worn on the back as a rucksack (musette bag not included).
The replica M36 suspenders by Combat Serviceable features:
- Two straps at the back and the four straps on the front are adjustable in length.
- All six straps have metal clips on the ends to attach the suspenders onto the belt.
- Shoulders are wider for more comfort.
- Metal D clip on the front so you can clip on the musette pack and wear the pack as a rucksack on the back.
The M36 suspenders are worn by the Airborne troops like the 82nd Airborne Division and the 101st Airborne Division where the M36 musette bag was worn on the back.
The M1936 suspenders where also worn by Officers and anyone not using the M1928 Doughboy pack from all the other branches of services including the Infantry, Engineers and Armoured troops.
