Designed after the men's M43 uniform, the women's M43 was approved in late 1943 and was intended for wear as a field jacket for cold weather. The WW2 women's M43 jacket is ideal for the European weather (summer or winter) the longer length than the M41 and the cotton sateen outer and a thin poplin cotton liner makes for a warmer and more practical field jacket.
