This M1928 / M1 Thompson Carrying Case is a historically accurate reproduction of the padded transport bag used by the US Army during World War II for safely carrying the Thompson Submachine Gun. The bag is made from khaki cotton canvas and fully lined with soft white fleece to protect both wood and metal components.
Designed to accommodate the M1928A1 as well as the M1 / M1A1 Thompson, the case allows the weapon to be stored with the stock attached. A full-length metal zipper provides easy access, while the fleece lining helps prevent scratches and transport damage.
An adjustable shoulder strap is fitted to the exterior, making the case comfortable to carry. Authentic details such as reinforced ends, correct proportions and a subdued US appearance make this carrying case ideal for reenactment, museum displays and private collections.

Historische Context
During World War II, the Thompson Submachine Gun was widely used by US forces, including Airborne units, Military Police and armoured crews. When not in immediate combat use, the weapon was often transported in dedicated carrying cases designed to protect it from dirt, moisture and damage during vehicle or rail transport.
Fleece-lined versions offered additional protection for the wooden stock and grips, particularly during extended movements. These carrying cases were a practical and recognizable part of US Army logistical equipment rather than frontline combat gear.
