This M6 Gas Mask Bag is a practical reproduction of the US Army WWII carrier bag for the M4 Lightweight Service Gas Mask. Made in OD#3 tan/khaki canvas, it features the recognizable US markings, including the “Army Lightweight Service Mask” stencil.
Although originally designed to carry the M4 gas mask, this type of shoulder bag was also popular with American troops as a general-purpose utility bag. Its useful size made it suitable for carrying small equipment, spare clothing, rations or extra ammunition.
The bag features a built-in shoulder strap, D-rings on the lower corners for different carrying positions, a flap closure with three press studs and a large main compartment with three internal pockets. The SOF specification lists the weight at approx. 520 grams, with canvas/cotton construction and OD#3 tan/khaki colour. The product is supplied as the bag only, without the gas mask.

Historical Context
The M6 gas mask bag was part of the US Army Lightweight Service Mask equipment of the Second World War. Designed for the M4 gas mask, it quickly proved useful beyond its original purpose. American troops often used the bag as a practical shoulder-carried utility bag for personal items, rations, spare clothing or additional ammunition. This makes it a strong addition not only for gas mask setups, but also for broader US Army field gear displays.
