With these backside stencils we apply the authentic wartime markings to the rear side of your Jeep canvas top. Typical inscriptions include:

"MAX SPEED 40 MPH"
"CAUTION / LEFT HAND DRIVE / NO SIGNAL"

This customization is done by appointment only. You can either supply your own existing canvas top, or purchase a new one from our range, such as the Canvas TOP, SUMMER, Jeep MB or the Canvas TOP, WINTER, ASSY, Jeep MB.

The stencils are specially made and hand-applied, just like in wartime workshops. This service comes at an additional cost on top of the regular canvas top price.

Historical Context
During World War II, many Willys MB jeeps in the European Theater carried these warning inscriptions on the rear canvas top. They alerted following traffic to the vehicle’s maximum speed, the fact it was left-hand drive (important in the UK), or that no turn signals were fitted. These markings were not factory-applied but added in workshops or by the units themselves.
