Officially called "Officer's shirt "Drab 54 light shade" but often referred to as the "Pink's" shirt.
This was worn as part of the US Army Officer's A Class uniform and can be worn with the pinks trousers or the OD 51 dark trousers.
This shirt was popular when wearing the Officers A class 4 pocket tunic. One of the most iconic looks of a US Air Force pilot in WW2 was the Pinks trousers, Pinks shirt, OD 51 tie and the OD 51 A class tunic worn with the crusher cap.
The pinks shirt was worn by US Army officers in WW2. In WW2 the Air Force was part of the Army (USAAF - United States Army Air Force) so the shirt was worn by Officers in the Infantry, Air Force, Paratroopers Armoured and MP etc.
