US Army WW2 HBT cap 1943 pattern OD 7 Green. Officially called "Cap, Herringbone Twill".

This is the standard HBT (Herringbone Twill) peak cap with a 2" peak and is in the OD 7 green colour which was worn from 1943 through to the end of the war.

The OD 7 green HBT was introduced in March 1943 and was issued in time for the D-Day landings in Normandy.
