In World War II, the USAAF released a bag called the "Bag, Flight, USAAF, B-4", a collapsible suitcase. This bag was very popular with officers from all branches of the services.

The Officers B4 case is like a portable wardrobe. On the inside, there are two zippers running down each side, so that when the bag is laid flat and the zippers are open, your uniform can easily be placed inside and hung from the brass ring at the top. There is a large brass hook on the top outside, so you can easily hang it and keep your clothes clean and tidy.

For ease of transport, the case is folded in half and secured with a leather strap and the brass hanging hook snaps into a leather loop at the bottom.

On the outside there are three pockets for shoes and personal belongings etc. and a blank leather name tag with a strong leather handle.
