During the D-Day landings, every American, Canadian, British, and Allied soldier, including both infantry and paratroopers, received a gas brassard. These armbands were designed to change color if chemical agents were present, acting as an alert in case the Germans used gas as a defensive tactic.
To wear it, you simply slide the brassard onto your outer clothing and secure it with the epaulet through the loop. These replicas are made from the same style of coated paper as the originals. (Please note: These brassard will not detect poison gas.)
