The First Aid Tin, Carlisle Model, is a meticulously crafted and well-preserved piece of military medical equipment from the early years of World War II. These tins, in their original olive drab (OD) paint, are untouched and freshly procured, having been carefully stored and protected since their manufacture in 1941-1942.

The Carlisle first aid dressing, tin was issued to every soldier in WW2 and was normally carried in the M1942 first aid pouch which was connected onto webbing pistol belts, garand belts or BAR belts.
These are great pocket fillers and where originally made for the film industry to use so they could realistically fill pouches without the cost of purchasing original tins and for use by the stunt department where for safety metal items are not allowed to be used. These are now made for general sale so you can fill your pouch.
The rubber carlisle dressing is molded from an original first aid tin and is made with solid rubber, these are not simply blocks of rubber they have the text of the original tins on the front and the rubber is coloured green like the original tins, so if your pouch open up it still looks like a real tin
